TeNo Scharführer 's Collar Tabs

TeNo, Technischen Nothilfe (Technical Emergency Corps), was a civilian organization until mid-1939 when it became an official state organization under control of the Police which in turn was controlled by the SS. As the war dragged on TeNo became more and more a para-military organization with its direction becoming increasingly controlled by the Waffen-SS.

Here we have two Collar Tabs, right hand unit collar tab has four aluminum insignia, forming an “XV” above and a “44” below pinned in place on a black wool base. Aluminum wire with black thread highlights all arround. Left hand collar tab has a gear with a voided centre above a five leaf cluster indicating the rank of Scharführer, edges with aluminum wire with black thread highlights. The perfectly matching pair shows light signs of age and real use.
