US WWII M3 Stuart Light Tank Brass Data Plate, Dated 1942

Constructed of massive, cast brass. 15,5cm in length and height is 10cm. Serial number is “3125”, which makes this plate researchable!. The initials of the Chief of the relevant ordnance district is stamped inside the box on the lower right “D N H”. The plate is also year marked “1942”. Reverse is stamped with a manufacturers code. In each corner is a hole drilled for fastening to the tank. The plate shows signs of age with a very nice age patina.
