USAAF WWII Type A-9 Wired Flight Helmet, Size Large

Summer Type A-9. Size Large. Canvas / Green cotton helmet, modified with the addition of pressed leather earcups. Complete with all straps/hooks for attachment of the A-8A, A-9 and A-10 oxygen masks. Modified with additional press studded webbing tapes stitched in place to accept the A-10A, A-10R & A14 mask. The helmet retains both of the laces around the face opening and neck. Fleece pad on the leather chinstrap and leather ear pads. Complete with wire and black PL-54 jackplug. Named “ALLEN” in black ink. Size label and manufacturers label still in place. In overall very good condition with light signs of age and use.
