War Merit Medal

The War Merit Medal was an extension of the War Merit Cross series of awards and was introduced on August 19th 1940 for award to German nationals and foreign civilians who provided exceptional service to the war effort.
Die struck Tombak medal with a bronze color paint wash. Complete with medal ring and ribbon. The medal is in very good condition with light signs of age.
Actually much harder to find compared to the 2’class War merit cross with and without swords!!
