Wound Badge in Black 1939, Maker Marked "L/14" with Award Document

Complete set with award document dated “9.2 1945”. Awarded to Funker Karl Fendrych, serving in Stabs Kompanie, Gren Rgt 1214. Document is signed by a chief doctor. In very good conditon with minor signs of age with one fold. The document comes with the actuall wound badge. The badge is constructed of ferrous metal with a black paint wash. Maker marked to the reverse in high relief: “L/14” for “’Friedrich Orth, Wien” (a rare maker to find!). The badge is complete with hinge, pin and catch. The badge shows signs of age and real use, most of the original black paint is still intact.

Both the badge and document are rare, the wound bagde because of the seldom seen maker and the document because of the late award date!!
