Luftwaffe Paratrooper's Badge Maker Marked Assmann
€495.00
The Paratrooper’s qualification badge was instituted by Hermann Göring on November 5th 1936 for award to Luftwaffe personnel who had written the required tests and completed six parachute jumps.
Luftwaffe paratrooper badge maker marked “A” to the reverse for “Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid”. Late war die injection mold zinc Assmann wreath with silver finished Assmann marked eagle. Two piece construction with both rivets still intact. Soldered on hinge and catch intact as well as the pin. The badge shows clear signs of age with some pitting and there is a small damage to the wreath.
Not the best preserved example, but will look great on display with it’s heavy age patina!!
