German WWII Dog Tag 3/Inf Ers Btl 398

The dog tag is produced of natural alumium. Two identical halfs. One to keep with the fallen soldier and the second half to return to the unit. Stamped to the obverse is the following information: 3’rd company, Infantry replacement Battalion 398, personal number 1242. 0 is most likely for the blood group. The dog tag is in very good condition with minor signs of age.
