Russian WWII M35 Red Air Force Officer's "Pilotka" Side Cap

The cap is constructed of dark-blue colored cloth and the sides are made of two layers of main cloth. In front the cap has a star made of cloth, and on the top of the sides and seams of the cap – edging all in light-blue trimmed wool. On the top of the cloth star is a red enamel star with a sickle and a hammer to the center. Inside is lined with grey cotton and a full leather sweatband is machine sewn in place. The original stamp of the manufacturer is still visable it reads: Factory “Red Seamstress” 1941 (year of production) Size 58. The cap is in good, still used condition with light napwear to all exposed parts. Inside shows some old sweat and grease.
