Luftwaffe Model 295, Flight Goggles and Accessories in Original Aluminum Case, Produced in Berlin 1935

M295 flight goggles in its original aluminum case made by “Auer” complete with all its accessories. The case has a fold-over top lid with two riveted hinges on the reverse. The top lid of the box has a blackened, riveted aluminum panel with printed and engraved script that includes, “Gerät: Windschutzbrille”, “Hersteller: Auer-Ges. Berlin O 17”, “Baumuster: 295” (Model: 295), “Werk Nr: 11068”, “Gewicht: Behälter u. Inhalt ca . 0.68kg”,  and” Label d. Herstellung: 16. 5. 1935 “, (Day/Date of manufacture). The inside of the top lid has a riveted, silver/whitewashed aluminum panel with black printed script that includes “Inhalt 1 Brille, 1Kinnband, 1 Putzlappen, 1 Locheisen, 1 Ersatzgläser, 1 Ersatzgummiband”. The inside bottom of the case has a separate, riveted, oval compartment for securing spare lenses. Three pairs of spare lenses are included in their corresponding cloth bags, two polish cloth’s and a spare strap. The goggles shows signs of age with stiff rubber parts from age. Case is in very good condition with light signs of age and handling.
