Hitlerjugend Proficiency Badge in Silver

The Proficiency Badge of the Hitlerjugend, was instituted as the first Hitler Youth award by Reichsjugendführer Baldur von Schirach on May 1st 1934 for Hitlerjugend members to increase their proficiency in military oriented athletics, academics, field exercises, and shooting. The badge was established in three grades of Silver, Bronze and Iron.
The stamped, polished non ferrous alloy award. The reverse has the embossed RZM logo and “M1/72”. The pin-back device is intact. The badge is in good condition with light signs of age and use.
