Heer Panzer Officer's Visor Cap, Erel

995.00

Early – mid war produced officer’s visor cap, constructed of field-grey tricot cloth with vibrating pink wool piping. Pinned in place to the front is a silver washed zinc national eagle and wreath/cockade as well as a officer´s heavy chincord.

Inside cap is lined with golden yellow rayon. Cap still have it´s original sweat shield still intact. The cap is clearly maker marked “Erel, Berlin, Sonderklasse Extra”. Tan leather sweatband is all intact. The sweatband is also marked Erel. The sweatband has the actuall cap size hand written to it “52 1/2” in two places. The cap is in very good condition, with no stains or moth damage. There is however two (rather hard to notice) mendings to the top aprox, each 1,5cm long. The damage is harder to detect from the inside, where we clearly can see two cuts in the lining and sweatshield. The cap present it self very nicely with its clean exterior, nice high peak and vibrant pink piping.

Hard to find any cap as well preserved as this one. On top of that it’s a panzer officer manufactured by Erel. Without the mendings and small size, this cap would easily cost twice as much!!
