Kriegsmarine Officer's Side Cap

Private purchase, deep navy blue, fine doeskin construction cap with fold down side and back panels. The top edge of the fold down panels are trimmed in gold celleon wire piping. The front center of the cap has a hand embroidered national eagle in golden bullion threads on a navy blue wool base. The eagle is neatly handstitched to the cap. The front center of the fold down panels has a wire metal national tri-color cockade, in black, silver and red. The cockade is neatly handstitched to the cap. The interior of the cap is fully lined in black cloth. The cap is in very good condition with light signs of age and use. No holes, rips or mendings.
