Kriegsmarine Line Officer Candidate's Issue Pea Jacket

Dark blue wool construction, double breasted style jacket with fold back peak lapels and a lay down collar. Jacket features two rows of five front closure buttons. Jacket has two slash front hip pockets with straight edged flaps. Right breast has a very nice Kriegsmarine national eagle in golden cotton on a cut-out navy blue wool base. The eagle is neatly hand sewn to the jacket. Sleeves have straight cut non-adjustable cuffs. Inside the right sleeve is a manufacturer and size stamp clearly visable. The upper left sleeve has a line officer candidate’s sleeve insignia hand sewn in place. Collar with blue wool collar tabs, the collar tabs are machine sewn in place. All the buttons are the fire gilted alloy type with embossed anchor and appear to have their original stitching. A Iron Cross second class ribbon is hand sewn in place. The interior of jacket is lined in sleeves with grey colored cotton. The rest of the jacket is lined with blue wool. The jacket is in very good condition with minor signs of age and use. No holes, rips or mendings.
