Luftwaffe Flak EM/NCO's Side Cap Maker Marked, Berlin 1940

Luftwaffe blue/grey, wool construction cap features fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides. Red corded edge piping to match the early four pocket piped collared tunic. The front center of the cap has a machine embroidered, second pattern EM/NCO’s Luftwaffe eagle in pale white/grey cotton threads mounted on a Luftwaffe blue wool base and the front center machine sewn in place. Fold down panels has a machine embroidered, national tri-color cockade in black, white and red rayon threads. The cockade is neatly hand sewn in place. The interior of the cap is fully lined in silver / grey HBT cloth. The lining is well marked with a depot marking, makers mark, year of production “1940” as well as size stamped “58”. The cap is in a very nice, little used condition. No holes, rips tears or mendings.
