25 Year Faithful Service Medal

45.00

The Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen für Beamte Angestellte und Arbeiter) was founded on 30 January 1938 in two classes and one class to reward civilians in the employ of the public services, and in exceptional cases private concerns, for long and faithful service. All officials, employees, and laborers at any level of the public service (local, regional or national) who completed 25 or more years service were eligible for The Civil Service Faithful Service Medal in Silver.

The medal is constructed of struck alloy metal with nickel-silver plated highlights, a frosted white finish and a black enamel swastika. Fed onto the ribbon suspension ring, which passes through the loop to the top of the award, is its original ribbed rayon cornflower blue ribbon. The ribbon has the original fastening device sewn to the reverse. The medal is in good condition with a pretty heavy age patina.

Nice exampel!!
