Heer Gebirgsjäger Officer's Visor Cap

Late war produced officer’s visor cap, constructed of field-grey doeskin wool with green, trimmed wool piping. Pinned in place to the front is a alloy metal national eagle, zinc edelweiss and alloy metal wreath/cockade. Also in front and buttoned in place to the sides is as a officer´s heavy chincord. Inside cap is lined with brown oil cloth. Cap’s original sweatshield is intact to 75% . The cap is maker marked “Alkero” and also size marked “57 1/2”. Original tan colored ersatz sweatband intact with a couple of tears. Cap has a very nice shape and is in good still well used condition. No holes, rips, mothtracking or mendings.
