Heer Issue, Unit Marked Gebirgsjäger Rgt 99 EM/NCO's Visor Cap

Early produced infantry EM/NCO´s visor cap made of field-grey tricot cloth with green, trimmed wool piping. Pinned in place to the front is a early Aluminum, silver washed alloy national eagle and wreath/cockade as well as EM/NCO´s black laquered leather chincord.

Inside cap is lined with early orange/brown drill cloth. Cap still have it´s original sweatshield still all intact. The cap is size stamped “55” in black ink beneath the sweatshield. Brown leather sweatband is all intact. Sweatband is clearly marked in three different places. The most interesting is a unit stamp which reads: “7./G.J.R 99”. The cap has also a clear cap maker stamp and year of production 1936. The sweatband is also maker stamped. Cap is in very good, little used condition. No holes, rips, mendings or stains.

Clost to impossible to find a unit marked GBJ Rgt 99 in this close to mint condition!!
