Heer Panzer-Recon EM's Tropical M42 Field Tunic

Light weight, ribbed, khaki/olive, cotton twill construction field blouse with six button front closure with smallfold back lapels and a lay down collar. The field blouse has four non-pleate pockets with scalloped edged button down flaps (M42). To the right chest is a tropical EM/NCO’s national eagle machine sewn in place. To the collar is tropical EM/NCO’s collar tabs also machine sewn in place. Breast eagle and collar tabs are factory sewn to the tunic. To the shoulder is tropical EM’s shoulder straps. The straps are made of olive colored cotton with golden yellow rayon branch color piping for recon. Inside right lapel is stamped with size, manufacturers initilas “WB” and year of production “44”. The medic pocket is stamped with a RBNr. Also interesting to see, all different parts, sleeves and side panels is marked with a yellow “14”. This marking was to simplify the production each part was sewn on their own and then matched together for correct size. All buttons is pebbled grey paint metal and attached with original “S” rings. Belt hooks still present.

The tunic is in very good condition with only light signs of age and use. No holes, rips or mendings. The tunic is sewn-in, just a couple to the back for a better fit.

Pretty scarce M42 tunic, in a very nice slightly uised condition with factory sewn insignias!!
