Heer Panzergrenadier Gefreiter's Issue M43 Field Tunic

1,895.00

Issue M43 tunic constructed of field-grey cloth with six button front closure (most buttons appears to be replaced as often seen on real used tunics). Four non-pleated patch front pockets with straight button down flaps. Machine sewn to the collar is a pair of Heer general issue collar tabs. To the shoulder’s is a pair of non matching pair (one of the shoulder straps is M44) slip-on shoulder straps, constructed of field grey cloth with toxic green rayon branch color piping. Above the right breast pocket is a EM/NCO’s national eagle machine sewn in place. The eagle is machine sewn in place through the lining which is perfectly fine with a M43 tunic, this tunic never had another eagle. Sewn to the left breast pocket is award loops for two awards. Hand sewn to the second button hole is a ribbon for Iron Cross Second Class 1939 and East front medal. A Gefreiters rank chevron is machine sewn to the upper left sleeve.

Inside is fully lined with silver/grey rayon cloth. The inner right lapel has size stamps still visable as well as year of production “43”. The right side hip pocket have a repair which is only visable from the inside. Medic pocket is removed and the tunic is slightly sewn tighter to the back for a better fit. No holes, rips or mendings. There is light nap wear to all exposed parts. All in all a well preserved tunic in good, still used condition.

It’s getting harder and harder to find issue tunics especially a untouched example in good condition as this one!!
