160.00

The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on December 20th 1939 by Generaloberst Walther von Brauchitsch for award to Officers and EM/NCOs of non-motorized Infantry and Mountain Infantry units. Criteria for bestowal of the badge varied, with the main qualification being participation in three separate Infantry assaults. On June 1’st 1940 a bronze version of the Infantry Assault Badge was introduced for award to Officers and EM/NCOs of Motorized Infantry units.

This is a mid-war, die struck high quality Zinc badge. The badge is complete with hinge, catch and pin. The badge is in good condition with about 70% of the original silver paint wash still intact.
