Kriegsmarine Minesweeper War Badge

The Minesweeper War Badge was awarded to Kriegsmarine members for service on minesweepers vessels. The award was instituted on 31 August 1940 by Grand Admiral Erich Raeder.

This is late war produced badge, constructed of die stamped Zinc with gilt, silver and grey paint. Reverse with silver paint and ball type hinge, thin pin and catch all intact. The badge is in good condition with a nice age patina. 95% of the gilt, silver and grey finish is still intact to the obverse, reverse has aprox 80% left of the original silver paint.
