425.00

The Ground Assault Badge of the Luftwaffe was a World War II German military decoration awarded to Luftwaffe personnel for achievement in ground combat. It was instituted on 31 March 1942 by the commander-in-chief Hermann Göring.

This is a very nice condition Luftwaffe Ground Asault Badge badge in zinc, with riveted eagle in silvered tombak. Maker marked stamped on reverse “G.H. OSANG / DRESDEN”. The silver wash on eagle is mostly present, with some minor wear. Silvered wreath and black/grey cloud and lightning bolt also retains 99% of the original paint wash. This is relatively uncommon, as the colors usually is worn away or absored by the Zinc material over time. The badge comes complete with functional hinge, pin and catch.

Very hard to find in better condition!!
