Named and Unit Marked, Motorized Pioneer EM's M35 Dress Tunic

1,095.00

The M35 dress tunic was introduced for wear by all ranks on June 29th 1935 as the walking out, parade and ceremonial dress with the piped, stone grey long pants. All personnel were issued two M35 dress tunics but manufacture was to be discontinued in late 1939 or early 1940.

Issue field-grey wool construction M35 dress tunic, eight button front closure with dual metal hooks and eyes positioned at the forward neckline and a lay down dark-green badge cloth collar. The collar has black wool piping to the edges. The collar also has early style, dress/parade collar tabs with bright silver/aluminum on a black cloth base. Early bottle green shoulder boards with black wool branch color piping. Unit numbered “2” shoulder buttons. Neatly hand sewn to the right chest is a early BeVo bullion breast eagle on beige/grey colored backing cloth. The eagle has first been sewn to a cut-out field grey backing and then neatly hand sewn to the tunic (for a better look). Each cuff ends with bottle green cloth with back pioneer cuff facings and two silver painted buttons. Inside is fully lined with mouse-grey colored drill cotton cloth. The tunic is very nicely stamped with size and year of production “B 36”. B is for Berlin and 36 is for the year 1936. There is also a unit stamp. The unit stamp match perfectly to the name tag which is neatly hand sewn beside the size stamps. The label reads: “Pionier Reichwiss 2. (mot) Pion.Batl. 4”.

The tunic is in a very nice, well used but not abused condition. All insignias match perfectly in wear and was period sewn in place. There is no holes, rips, tears or larger stains just signs of use and age/wear fading to all exposed parts.

Fully researchable tunic in a very nice used condition. Not easy to find a double marked tunic like this!!
