Highest quality field-grey doeskin Officer’s Pioneer visor cap manufactured early – mid war. Black piping denots service in Pioneer or panzer pioneer branch. Heer officer’s bullion national eagle and bullion officer’s cockade hand sewn in place to the front of the cap. As well as heavy officers silver/aluminum chin cord.

Inside is lined in a golden-yellow rayon cloth material. The lining shows heavy wear and soiling. Sweat shield is in place to 99% and maker adress and name is fully readable. Original brown leather sweatband fully intact and has first owners named perforated to the sweatband. The name reads: “K. Heuberger”. Sweatband is in perfect matching condition to the rest of the cap.

Outside cap shows matching wear to inside with chafe wear, dirt and age fading. Cap has minor wear to the black piping on fold over areas as well as beside the right side cap button. Two pin head holes to the dark green cap band which is hardly noticable. Cap has a very nice formed shape. Size is about 56.5 – 57.
