Police 25 Year Long Service Award with Case of issue

First class, die struck alloy award with a fire gilt finish for twenty-five years service. The fire gilt finish is fully retained and still quite bright. Ribbon suspension loop and ring both intact. The award comes complete with its original cornflower blue, ribbed rayon ribbon. The medal also comes with a machine embroidered, wreathed police eagle in golden yellow threads mounted on a ribbon. Award comes housed it’s original case with mid-green simulated leather cover. Top lid has an impressed oak-leaf wreath encompassing the numeral, “25”. Internal bar hinge still functions nicely. Interior with white satin lining to top with manufacturers sticker label still in place, it reads: “C.F. Zimmermann Pforzheim”. Bottom with grey velvet lining with raised retaining arm with cut-out recess to hold the award in place. The medal is in close to mint condition, the case shows clear signs of age.
