Waffen-SS 5th Panzer Division Wiking EM/NCO’s Cuff Title

This Division was formed in December 1940. Initially the Division was called Germania, but the title of the unit was changed to Wiking in January 1941. The Wiking Division was well known not only for being a fierce and bitter fighting unit, but also because a great number of it’s members were not German. Several were foreign volunteers from many other western and northern European countries.

This is a textbook RzM SS division “Wiking” EM/NCO’s cufftitle. Constructed of fine quality BeVo style machine embroidery in grey threading of the word “Wiking” on a black woven cotton backing. Edged on the top and bottom with woven silver aluminum bullion. The cufftitle was removed from a tunic and is slightly shortened, Length is 39cm. In good, still used condition!.
