Waffen-SS Artillery/STUG EM's Tropical Field Tunic

Waffen-SS Sahariana-style tropical field tunic, constructed of a khaki-tan cotton cloth. It features a classic overlaid shoulder yoke extending across the upper shoulder and breast flaps, with a scalloped front. Stitched onto the left upper arm is an insignia in the form of a black rayon backer with a machine-embroidered tropical SS EM/NCO’s national eagle. The eagle is machine sewn in place. Interesting to see the inside of the cuff with black rayon. Buttoned in place to each shoulder is a Waffen-SS shoulder strap with red rayon branch color piping for service in a Artiller or Stug unit. Each cuff has a slit closing with a zinc button. Two breast pockets. The two hip pockets has been removed and the tunic was war time retailored with adding a closable waist band for a smarter look. There is award loops sewn for one award to the left breast pocket. Armpits feature reinforced eyelets for effective ventilation. Inner lapel has faint size markings. This is a well used example with soiling and material fatigue. There is aslo several mendings, see pictures!
