German Class C Gliders Badge and Second Type Stick Pin

 

We got this Three pins/badges together and we sell them as a set.

 

The set concists of following items:

 

* A German Class C Gliders Badge, numbered to the reverse “42407”
Constructed of silvered bronze and blue enamels the obverse depicting three seagulls denoting C-Classification. Button fastening device intact.

 

The “C class” was awarded only about 2000 times between 1931 and 1942.
Here are the conditions that one had to fullfill to earn that silver C,

* 1x 5hrs flight

* 1x cross-country flight covering 50KM of distance

* 1x flight with the starting height risen of 1000m
the silber “C” as it was known was a very high award at the time.

 

* “C” gliders badge, second pattern. Stick pin made of silver with blue colored enamel. Correct and intact stickpin. Marked to the reverse “800” which is the silver content. 800 parts out of 1000.

 

* German WWII WHW, Winterhilfswerk Tinnie made of light weight silvered metal with nfastening device intact to the reverse.
