WW2 Japanese Army Type 90 Combat Helmet with Original Issue Net

895.00

This is a standard army issue combat helmet worn by a Japanese Army soldier. It has an original issue helmet net (mesh type) which appears to be period-applied to it. The helmet is well used and there are superficial rusts on the shell. Though the chinstrap is complete and in full length, the leather surface of one of the three pads is partly damaged and the inside cushion is exposed. The damage was caused by old blood in our opinion. Old dried up blood looks like this, dark red brown in color also damages like this is often seen on blood exposed cloth/leather. However, the liner is still securely attached to the shell and the helmet can be placed on a mannequin head without a problem. The helmet is dated 1944 and with the size marking indicating ”LARGE.”

An awesome-looking, field-used example!!
