Japanese Army Officer's Pre-War Private Purchase Visor Cap
A “crusher” style army officer’s visor made in high-quality khaki wool. This type of hat was worn from the 1930’s to 1945.
This particular example is slightly worn and has minor storage wear but in complete condition without any missing parts. However,
the silk lining and the ersatz leather sweat band has some wrinkles and slight surface flaking. The black enameled visor has cracks and wrinkles, as expected in most original examples. Very minor moth damage is seen in a few places on the edges of the hat. Though unreadable, the original owner’s name is machine embroidered in a silk thread on the center of the silk lining. The size is medium to large and can be comfortably placed on a standard mannequin head.
Used example in still good condition!!
