Japanese Namned WWII Leutnant-Commander Winter Service Tunic and Trousers

The tunic is constructed of dark navy blue wool. Fly front is closed by nine hooks and eyes. Stand-up collar with a dual hook and eye closure at the throat. A slash pocket is to each hip. Cuff insignia representing the rank Leutnant-Commander. To either collar are sewn Lieutenant-Commander collar tabs. There is loops sewn for a long medal bar or ribbon bar to the left upper chest (the medal bar pictured with the tunic is not included in this sale (but sold separately). The interior is lined in in black cotton and has a left, slash breast pocket. There is also a white, blank name label hand sewn in place. The lining has one hole and some misscoloration close to the waist line. The tunic is in good, little used condition.

 

The tunic comes with a pair of straight legged trousers constructed of dark blue tricot cloth. Front fly closed by five buttons which all are in place. Two slash pockets to each hip. Inside partly lined with white drill cloth. The pants has several minor mendings and shows signs of real use. The lining has a Navy tag for the quartermaster stamp from “the Second Clothing Depot.” The following info is written on it:

Very nice, namned and complete set in good used condition!!
