Waffen-SS EM/NCO's M40 Side Cap

The cap is constructed of field-grey wool with fold down side and back panels. The front center of the cap has a has a second pattern SS eagle in silvery/grey threads on a black rayon base. The eagle is neatly handstitched to the cap. Totenkopf insignis missing, leaving a clear “ghost” mark at the front fold up. The interior of the cap is fully lined in ribbed cotton. The cap is in overall good, well used condition with nap wear to all exposed parts. The exterior shows age fading and light soiling all over. SS eagle shows classic wear damage from the exposed center of the eagle. Inside with rather heavy soiling and a couple of wear holes located to the back.

Super nice combat use Waffen-SS side cap. Keep it as it is or to restore with a Totenkopf for a killer display!!
