WWII Japanese Army Officer's Field Cap in Excellent Condition

395.00

This is an early wartime field cap made of high-quality wool which was of the same grade as the khaki wool used in the early tunic.  The dark green color was often preferred by high-ranking officers. The frontal wool Army star is wartime machine sewn in place.  The cap was moderately worn but without conspicuous damage. It has a leather chinstrap and a fully-lined high-quality silk interior.  The cap has a few holes to the silk lining, the sweat band has some un-done stitches to the front and the front of the cap crown has also a couple of undone stitches. There is no moth damage. All in all a well preserved cap in very good condition. Size is about 57,5 which is a very large size for a Japanese WWII headgear.

An awesome-looking officer’s field cap in large size and in good used condition!!
